22+ years of age
Be authorized to work in the United States and have a state-issued Commercial Drivers License with appropriate endorsements
For Class A, B, C & D: NO verifiable experience is required
- Note: Experience may include verifiable time spent at a truck driving school or other comparable training or experience deemed satisfactory to V3 Transportation
If operating Class E Tractors, the independent contractor must have:
- 6 months' full-time verifiable experience with a DOT certified carrier operating an articulating vehicle in the last 12 months
- Or 12 months' full-time in the last 5 years
- Or 24 months full-time in last 10 years
Have no more than:
- 4 moving violations recorded on MVR and PSP (includes seatbelt representing ½ of a moving violation) or preventable accidents combined within the past 3 years
- No more than 5 total violations and chargeable/preventable accidents combined in the last 3 years
DOT-defined serious moving violations:
- No more than 1 within the last 12 months
- No more than 2 combined in last 3 years
- No more than 1 in any 12-month period within the last 3 years
3 CDL suspensions in 3 years require a safety review
Have no chargeable accidents with injury claim in the last 12 months
Must pass a drug test and background check.
